COLORFUL BATTERIES ON THE REQUEST
There are also several types of batteries that can be used in solar road lights on the request. What are the differences between these types and how to choose? Generally speaking, people are more familiar with lead-acid batteries, gel batteries, etc.
Lead-acid battery The plate of lead-acid battery is composed of lead and lead oxides, and the electrolyte is an waterless result of sulfuric acid. Its main advantages are stable voltage and cheap price; its disadvantages are low specific energy (that is, the electric energy stored in each kilogram of battery), fairly large volume, short service life of about 300-500 deep cycles, and frequent diurnal conservation. Still in heavy use.
Colloidal battery The sulfuric acid electrolyte is replaced by colloidal electrolyte, which is bettered compared with ordinary batteries in terms of safety, storehouse capacity, discharge performance and service life, and can be used in the temperature range of-40 ℃-- 65 ℃. Especially low temperature performance is good, suitable for northern alpine regions. It has good seismic performance and can be used safely in colorful harsh surroundings. The service life is about double that of ordinary lead-acid batteries.
Ternary lithium battery high specific energy, small size, fast charging, high price. The number of deep cycles of the ternary lithium battery is about 500-800 times, the life span is about 1 times longer than that of the lead-acid battery, and the temperature range is-15 ℃-45 ℃. But the disadvantage is that it isn't veritably stable, and it may explode or catch fire when it's overcharged or the temperature is too high.
Lithium iron phosphate battery high specific energy, small size, fast charging, long service life and good stability. The deep cycle charging times are about 1500-2000 times, the service life is long, generally reaching 8-10 times, the stability is strong, the operating temperature range is wide, and it can be used at-40 ℃-70 ℃.
